How to use the AAMC Biology Question Pack 1

Bio Q Pack 1 is high-volume official B/B practice. Here is how to use it without mistaking it for the real difficulty curve.

What it is

The AAMC Biology Question Packs are official banks of B/B questions. They lean more content-recall and passage-comprehension than the Section Bank, with some questions drawn from an older era of the exam.

That makes them ideal volume practice: real AAMC writing and real AAMC distractors, at a difficulty that builds confidence and reps rather than bruising them.

How a Retaker gets the most from it

Use Q Packs for volume and rhythm. Timed blocks of 20 to 25 questions, followed by honest review of every miss.

Calibrate expectations: many students score noticeably higher on Q Packs than on the Section Bank. Do not let a strong Q Pack run convince you the section is finished, and do not let it replace Section Bank work.

On a retake, pay special attention to the misses that surprise you. On material this approachable, a surprise miss is almost always a trap pattern or a reading slip, which is exactly what your error log is for.

Where it lands in a retake plan

Pillar Prep's plan schedules Q Pack blocks through the middle phases of prep as B/B volume work, sequenced around the Bite-Size series and before the Section Bank takes priority.

Pillar Prep's study plans are built around official AAMC material because it is the gold standard for MCAT practice.
