DMCA Policy

Effective date: March 1, 2026 · Last updated: March 1, 2026

Sean Studies LLC, operating Pillar Test Prep and its product Pillar Planner, respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) (“DMCA”). This policy describes how to submit a copyright infringement notice, how we respond to such notices, and our repeat infringer policy.

Designated DMCA Agent

We have designated the following agent to receive copyright infringement notifications:

Sean Teebagy
Pillar Test Prep / Sean Studies LLC
Email: sean@pillartestprep.com
Subject line: DMCA Takedown Notice

Note: This email address is designated for copyright claims only. Other inquiries sent to this address for DMCA matters may not receive a response.

How to Submit a Takedown Notice

If you believe that content stored on Pillar Planner infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notification to our designated agent. To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include all of the following:

  1. Your signature. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work. A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list is sufficient.
  3. Identification of the infringing material. A description of the material that you claim is infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (e.g., the URL or specific location on the platform).
  4. Your contact information. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. Good faith statement. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. Accuracy statement. A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

Notices that do not include all required elements may not be processed. Submitting a false or materially misleading takedown notice may expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

How We Respond

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

Counter-Notification

If your content was removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error or that you have authorization to use the material, you may submit a counter-notification to our designated agent. A valid counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature;
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal;
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if you are outside the U.S., any judicial district in which Pillar Prep may be found).

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.

Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), Pillar Prep maintains a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyright. A user's account may be terminated after receiving multiple valid DMCA takedown notices related to their uploaded content.

Note on User Uploads

Pillar Planner allows users to optionally attach screenshots to personal study notes in the Error Log. These uploads are stored privately and are associated with a specific user account for personal study purposes only. The service is not designed for, and does not permit, the public sharing or distribution of uploaded content. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that any material they upload complies with applicable copyright law and our Terms of Service.
